Absolutely delicious! Loved that they had rarer options like yari ika and abalone and special nigiri that I wasn't familiar with like kinki and akamuru. Everything I had was incredible and servers were very friendly. I also like that you can order single pieces of sushi so you can try more things. I got there just after opening without a reservation, but as it got later, you could tell it's best to have reservations as they were pretty busy even for a Thursday evening. This will be a staple for sure!!!

Ordered to go. Was looking for spider rolls and the reviews brought me here and they were the best I've had yet! Also got a California roll. Both rolls were too notch, they were $20 a roll. The inside is small but I like that you can see the sushi bar. The place was already full 30 minutes past their opening. There is a small lot there was an attendant, I told them I was just picking up and they said I should be good they give 20 min free. Be nice to the attendant because I heard most people haven't been to friendly.

Located in Keeaumoku Plaza adjacent to Walmart. Authentic Japanese shop with good vibe. Greeted and seated by friendly hostess and was immediately tended by server. Really liked the packaged cloth towel rather than the paper! He answered all our questions and took order. Within minutes we received the beautiful display of our meal. My nigiri combo consisted of an assortment of chef's choices which were beautifully crafted and tasted as good as it looked. The real wasabi accentuated the taste of the really fresh fish and the ginger cleansed my pallet after each piece. My daughter enjoyed her Chirashi as much as I did. Server was very attentive throughout our meal and food was scrumptious. Can't wait to come back soon.

Had a birthday dinner here tonight with my wife (her birthday), and it was great! We didn't order too much as we weren't as hungry as we both thought we'd be but everything we did order was delicious. We started off with the ahi tataki salad (refreshing) and ama ebi miso soup (the WHOLE ama ebi head included gave it that extra flavor). Then we had the sushi moriawase combo (variety of nigiri and tekka maki) and the rainbow roll (California roll with 5 different fishes on top). To end the meal, I had the ama ebi nigiri. You're probably wondering why 4 starts instead of the full 5 stars right? Well unfortunately they were sold out of the "hotaru ika" and "chuutoro", both from the seasonal menu. I really wanted to sample them but either I gotta get there earlier than 5:30pm or... check out another sushi joint to satisfy my craving. Oh and if you're wondering, they don't do anything special if it's a birthday meal. Overall, great experience. My wife enjoyed her birthday meal. We'll be back. Check em out!

This has been on my list since I first arrived to Honolulu last year! Glad I was finally able to experience their menu items. Their seasonal fish list is superb and unique, you wont find it anywhere else. I highly recommend ordering by piece and choosing the ones you like (vs. getting the omakase) so you can get other appetizers like I did! Here were the things on my menu: --Nigiri-- Tai - had to try because of the name Kanpachi Kinmedai - my favorite out of all of them. Akamutsu - second favorite Toro - always a must Scallop mayo Hotate - sweet and soft --Rolls-- Negi Toro - would recommend if you're still hungry Salmon skin roll - didn't stand out too much; I would skip next time --shareables-- - Hamachi Kama - aka yellowtail collar bone. A must order item! So much meat and the crispness and flavor of the skin make this a winner - Bone Marrow Eggplant - a popular item that lives up to the title. Must order! - Chicken Karage - not your typical karage. This was like chicken tenders with crispy and flakey skin. Was good but I would skip next time Cant wait to come back to reorder some items and try other fish from their seasonal list

Love this place! Fish is always fresh and delicious! Don't ask me about their rolls, I don't think that's real sushi lol. I eat the good raw stuff that's not covered in sauces like O toro, hamachi, uni, ikura, ama ebi, etc. this is my top 3 sushi spots in Hawaii. Clean restrooms and validated parking in front. I definitely recommend Sushi II

Sushi is very fresh and clean. Not fishy like a popular spot in Waikiki area. Place is older but well maintained. Servers were so nice and fast! We had the freshest pieces of sashimi and nigiris and ordered their special bone marrow with eggplant and toast and we were ridiculously happy coz it's the best!!!!! Highly recommend this spot! Book a table tho, we got lucky they had a open table for an hour so we snagged that up! Validates parking in small lot that shares with neighboring businesses.

If you find yourself looking for a casual but good sushi place in Honolulu this is your spot. You'll be greeted in the traditional japanese sushi restaurant fashion when walk into the comfy dining area. While some of our friends opted for a 2-3 hour omakase experience at another place we just wanted some good sushi without the time restraints. Also I was specifically looking for a sushi spot that served salmon skin as was craving. Here's what we ordered: - Salmon skin salad - oh man i still frequently think of this salad, what a great mix of crispy salmon skin and micro greens that's dressed well. I'd say this is a do not pass on item if you like salmon skin. - Assorted nigiri sushi - we tried the two different eel nigiris side by side, Ikura, chutoro, sake, hamachi, kanpachi, akaebi w. fried head and the abalone. They were all great, but the abalone is chewy and crunchy just note. The above items paired well with a bottle of dassai 39 sake on ice. Our waitress was great as well checking on us frequently. Would recommend making reservations here just in case, as it was busy on a Sunday even.
